108 pages, A5, 2015 – 2016

Photographs collection found during Summer 2015. It allowed me to discover the everyday life of my woman’s family and their female friends on my father side, native of Mosel and Luxembourg, and my mother side, that were Polish immigrants. The title in German and then in Polish means « I don’t need a man », that always remind me the song of the Pussycat Dolls. These series cover these woman’s lives between the two World War, and at the Liberation of France, before they built a family and suffered from their spousal conditions. Despite of the unstable climate due to the German Occupation and their social classes differences, they lead themselves independently. Each one used to have a job and managed their desires, their adventures. They bring me a full support and stand up to my questioning as a young women, by their courage, strength, boldness and empowerment.
